JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Junior Backend Engineer - Java to join our team and contribute to one of our most prestigious international product developments. You will be working on a cutting-edge, cloud-based digital assessment platform used globally across various educational and governmental institutions. It supports the entire examination lifecycle from planning and authoring to delivery, proctoring, grading, and feedback. It is designed to make educational assessments more inclusive, fair, and relevant, while maintaining academic integrity and providing a smooth experience for learners.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCES 

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing high-performance applications using Java
• Experience with REST API’s, Elasticsearch, SQL
• Good understanding of relational databases such as Oracle DB
• Extensive experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, ElasticSearch, SQS, Cloudwatch)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
• Expertise in agile development methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
• Proficient with version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, Test, Deploy, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, AWS, Oracle DB, and Elasticsearch
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned database operations for efficient data handling
• Work with cloud infrastructure components on AWS, including EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, and other AWS services
• Develop & Collaborate with frontend teams
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices through testing, monitoring, and continuous rollout improvements
